"Over the past couple of years I have practiced painting plein air; I've drawn and painted from life but capturing entire landscapes was new to me. I have a place I like to go to relax and paint, a secret creek you could say. One day I decided to venture across the creek with my paints to capture some of its movement. This 9" by 12" plein air painting was an interesting journey, bringing purple and greens so close but not to mix. The echo of movement in the ripples and circles. It was a brisk, windy afternoon just on the cusp of the first leaves of fall."
