S. Christopher Kuithe (pronunciation: Key-thee) is a self-taught artist located in Nashville, TN. After taking a six-year break from his art, he has re-emerged with a new perspective towards art and design. Among his work you will find surrealist landscapes, life/death, portraits, plein air landscapes, and florals. His current mediums are oil, acrylic, graphite and oil pastels.
Statement
“Through my art-making process, I aim to take the viewer to a space where the mind can reel, and the eye can wander in hopeful resolution. My focus lies in creating realistic surrealist worlds that express ideas of personal and social importance through visual symbolism that I find captivating, curious and beautiful. In other words: An ever-evolving catalogue of items, imagery, ideas and representations in an effort to express my truths.”
