"Unknowingly, I dripped the last bit of red paint from the heart right as the clock turned to midnight July 4th, 2026. Strange to say the least. This painting is titled "E.O. 2-5-0" in reference to the legislation that has stripped away protections for our lands, plants, trees and wildlife. Protections for the animal natives that call these lands home too.

Here you see a familiar landscape, the idealized untamed wild west, the lands claimed under the guise of "Manifest Destiny". Now, in 2026, that land is now being sold and demolished for corporate greed and financial gain.

A human heart casts a shadow on the painted landscape, stabbed in the middle with a gold writing pen. Red paint emulates blood dripping down the distant blue mountains, golden fields and wild horses. We still have time to change this fate. Knowledge is power, and Truth is found when we learn that dark and light must inform each other. Ignoring the ugly dark truth does not make it disappear, but seeing it and learning from it helps us change and evolve. I hope my work can play a part in that discovery and can help us reconnect with our true abundance, Mother Nature and Each Other."
