"Over the past couple of years I have practiced painting plein air; I've drawn and painted from life but capturing entire landscapes was new to me. This acrylic on canvas painting was one of the first plein air paintings I created. It was the beginning of October in 2024, a year where the season changed but Summer heat stayed around. I sat atop a tin roof storage unit, using another canvas as a palette because I left mine at home. This 8" by 10" plein air painting is to this day one of my favorites. The bright green of the grass was truly mesmerizing. "
